About
“It’s a really cool looking car!” - Those were my famous last words before slipping down the Land Rover rabbit hole at the Burning Man festival in 1997 after seeing Nick Baggarly’s 2 Land Rover dormobiles out on the open desert playa.
Soon afterwards I purchased my first Rover - a 2000 Discovery Series II that we named Daisy. Eventually I ended up selling Daisy to someone in Alaska.

My next Rover was a 1973 Series III 88″ that I named Gonzo. Gonzo is believed to have lived his entire life in the greater San Francisco area and I am his 3rd known owner. Gonzo lives in my garage.

My 3rd Land Rover was a 1994 Range Rover LWB that we named Grizzly. Someone found Grizzly for me deep in the heart of Pennsylvania Amish country tucked in the back of a barn. He only had 14,000 original mikes when I took delivery of him. Despite having so few miles - Grizzly had a lot of issues which forced us to sell him out of economic salvation. This is the only known picture of Grizzly.

I managed to resist getting another Rover until 2006 when we got our LR3 which we still own and is our daily driver.

There you have it. I’ve owned 4 Land Rovers which, in Land Rover owner terms, makes me a novice.
